Annual Vocation Celebrations
World Day for Consecrated Life In 1997, John Paul II called for consecrated life to be promoted throughout the Universal Church. He declared February 2, the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord, to be observed as World Day for Consecrated Life (WDCL). In the United States, when February 2 is not on a Sunday, we celebrate on the Sunday after the Feast. This year World Day for Consecrated Life is observed on February 7th, Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Cycle C. VMMA Members will be speaking at various parishes. The Prayer and Promotional resources below are to assist you in your celebration of World Day for Consecrated Life. May these provide you with ideas to create a meaningful celebration! The Vocations Office of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has purchased a bulk permit allowing Parishes and Schools of the Archdiocese to download and reproduce the documents offered below. The 2010 Bulk Permit number to use on your materials for reproduction is #56. If you have any questions or difficulties regarding the download or duplication of these documents, contact Janice Sikora-Tabat of the Vocations Office --- jsikora@sfs.edu or call 414-747-6438.
